Memorial loop followed by trails. First 8 or so fine, but fell apart the last 5. Legs were fine, but U/R issues lingering and the heat just made it worse. Lots of walking.

Hermann / Rice short. U/R still a little wiped from last weekend's cold, but a much better run than yesterday. Didn't die until the last mile or so. Brutally muggy again (heat index easily in the mid 80's at 5:30 in the morning). Calf and shin much better today.

Hot afternoon jaunt on the trails in the FF. In retrospect, probably a mistake given I think I had a fever. But it reinforced how much I love running in the FF.

Hermann / Rice short. Most disgustingly-hot morning of the year so far. Felt fine at the start, but wore down very quickly. Combination of the heat and catching a touch of Hannah's cold I think. Shin fine throughout, a little sore afterwards.
Afternoon trail run - yellow, orange, purple, green o/b. Very hot - 98 (not the heat index). Heat zapped during the middle 1/3 of the run, but pulled it together for the last 1/3. Shin a pain for a while but seemed to loosen up late.

Hermann loop. Felt very strong. No shin issues at all during the run. Some residual aches afterwards, but nothing major. Stuck to the plan this week & legs feel a bit better at the end of the week than the beginning.

Hermann plus BB loop. Slight ache below left knee for first half mile, but pain-free the rest of the run. Muggy as hell. Legs a bit heavy. But held a steady pace throughout.
