H/B. Chilly, nice morning. The HRM took a bit to start picking up the HR accurately. Once it did, I could tell things were feeling good. Slow to rise, quick to fall (save for one odd spot where it popped up 10 beats over MAF for a moment). Overall, pretty decent.

Hermann. Sprints on a chilly morning. The HRM wasn't super responsive because it was too cold to perspire, but I managed to not stray far beyond MAF. Always feels good to open things up, even if it's just for 10 seconds at t a time.

H/B. Rain moved out just in time for this one. Nice morning. Felt really relaxed. HR was slower to rise and quicker to fall. Didn't mean much in terms of pace, but it was definitely better. Also, the latest Suunto update added a new HR screen - the HR number takes up a good chunk of the screen and is set off in a contrasting color that changes every 10 beats, so not only can I see the number easily, but I know when I hit 130 at a glance because the background color is different. Nice little surprise.

Hermann. Back out after bitter cold weather and a travel day yesterday. Chilly, but not uncomfortably so. HRM was a little sluggish, but everything felt good. The significant reduction in booze and tightening up the diet has pushed the weight back under 160 for the first time in awhile, which makes me very happy.

Trying to be patient with the MAF. Just need to remember that I'm not training for some specific goal. Need to go with the flow.

H/B. Mild and damp morning. Felt well rested and the HR started out nice and low. But the mental side didn't match. Busy mind kept me from going with the MAF flow. Know myself well enough that the results weren't unexpected. HR climbed during the run at the usual rate, but took longer to wind back down. 100% mental. Started feeling a bit more relaxed by the last mile or so though.
