Hermann. Muggy, mild morning. Felt really relaxed. HR was slow to rise and and could actually run some decent stretches without stopping.

Running 46:15 [2] 4.25 mi (10:53 / mi)

Hermann. Rainy overnight meant a pretty soggy track for this one. Not as cool as recently, but pleasant enough. Felt fine.

Running 44:59 [2] 4.0 mi (11:15 / mi)
slept:7.0 shoes: Escalante G2

HS/BS. A rare late-afternoon run after a rain-out this morning. Cool and overcast - my favorite running weather. Glad to get out for this one.

Running 46:00 [2] 4.2 mi (10:57 / mi)
slept:7.25 shoes: Escalante Grey

Hermann. A sort of restless night's sleep made for a bit flatter effort than yesterday, but it was still just fine. Just good to get out two days in a row.

Running 45:03 [2] 4.2 mi (10:44 / mi)

Hermann. Really need to get back at it. Work has taken a toll lately. But a wonderfully cool morning made for a nice off-leash effort.

Hiking 4:12:33 [4] 8.25 mi (30:37 / mi) +2539ft 23:42 / mi

Upper Ice Lake Basin. Hard. And jaw-droopingly beautiful.

Hiking 51:40 [2] 2.66 mi (19:25 / mi) +488ft 16:33 / mi
shoes: Lone Peak 4.0

Prater Ridge - Mesa Verde NP. A morning stretch of the legs climbing up to Prater Ridge above Moorefiled Campground. Nice little climb. Could see the weather rolling in off to the NW.

Hiking 55:38 [3] 2.19 mi (25:24 / mi) +592ft 20:14 / mi
shoes: Lone Peak 4.0

Petroglyph Point Trail - Mesa Verde. Tried to make it to Petroglyph Point before my 3:30 Balcony House tour, but didn't quite make it, turning around a bit early. Fun hike on some fairly technical terrain, made more challenging because I didn't have my wizard sticks or water and I was pushing the pace.

Hiking 5:20:52 [4] 12.57 mi (25:32 / mi) +2696ft 21:13 / mi
shoes: Lone Peak 4.0

Baker Lake - Great Basin NP. Started out great. Felt strong. Beautiful scenery. But by the time I hit about 9800 ft. in elevation, things didn't feel that great. From that point until Baker Lake at 10260, it was a grind. Slow climbing, a little light-headed, and a touch of nausea. Despite this, a really wonderful hike.
