Running 2:27:05 [3] 15.1 mi (9:44 / mi)
shoes: Pure Connect-DayGlo

Hermann to Allen Parkway to Montrose. Overreached a little on this one. Poor night's sleep + horrendous humidity and heat this morning led to a pretty awesome bonk before the 11-mile mark. The rest of the jaunt was just about managing the heat which meant frequent, short walk breaks interspersed with some slow running. Got it done though, which I honestly didn't think would happen. Needless to say, feel utterly spent now.... Nap time!

Walking 42:05 [3] 3.5 mi (12:01 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect

Hermann GW. Life got in the way of the early-morning run, and heat got in the way of a daytime effort. So, a compromise. About 60/40 relaxed run/walk. Very hot. I mean, like really nasty hot.

Note
(rest day)

With tired legs and a few random aches (nothing significant), this feels like a good time for a zero. Listening to my body and all that...

Running 1:00:33 [3] 7.5 mi (8:04 / mi)
shoes: Pure Connect-DayGlo

Hermann-Rice long / Village / reflect / GW. Haven't a clue why, but the legs felt terrific today. The whole run was smooth and relaxed. I'll take it.

Running 46:58 [3] 5.7 mi (8:14 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect

Hermann-Rice short GW. Feeling a bit off since last night - HR a little elevated, slightly queasy. Maybe a bug of some sort. So, I wasn't sure what was going to happen with this morning's run. Prepared to cut it seriously short if I wasn't feeling it. Felt okay though, so kept the effort relaxed and got it done.

Running 55:12 [3] 6.8 mi (8:07 / mi)
shoes: Pure Connect-DayGlo

Hermann-Rice long / reflect / GW. Everything felt kind of heavy for the couple of miles & my 1.5 mile split was VERY slow. Around the 3-mile mark, I passed some random guy. Wasn't setting any land speed record at that point, but I was moving a bit faster than this dude. As happens from time to time, dude decides to speed up and ride my tail. His heavy ass footfalls and breathing were annoying the hell out of me, so I picked up the pace the rest of the way around Rice and dropped him. Interestingly, this made me feel much better the rest of the run. Go figure.

Running 46:41 [3] 5.7 mi (8:11 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Pure Connect

Hermann-Rice short GW. Late-morning run. Felt surprisingly good. Relaxed and easy throughout, despite the nasty heat-humidity combo.
