Running 57:02 [3] 6.0 mi (9:30 / mi)
shoes: Altra Olympus

Ho - Endless/Green. Mid-morning solo run. Knee seemed okay - it's the same old runner's knee issue. Hit the gate at Crestwood in a hair over 27:00, so the pace was honest. Pulled back on the return to manage the heat. Not ready for heat-bonking yet.

Note
(rest day)

Left knee feeling funky, so decided to stay off it.

Running 46:03 [3] 5.8 mi (7:56 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow 2 DayGlo

Hermann-Rice short. Perceived effort was a bit higher than yesterday. It was also a little warmer. Legs didn't feel terrible, but didn't really start to come around until the last couple of miles.

Running 51:55 [3] 6.4 mi (8:07 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow 2 DayGlo

Hermann-Rice long. Warmer, but not yet oppressive. Left knee a little touchy early, but it disappeared quickly. Legs felt good.

Walking 34:05 [3] 2.3 mi (14:49 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow Grey/Green

Braes. Ended up needing to take the kiddo to school this morning, so no run. Got out for a stroll after work. Probably not a bad thing, since the knee had been bugging me a bit.

Note
(rest day)

Day of rest.

Sunday May 18, 2014 #

Walking 33:05 [3] 2.7 mi (12:15 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow 2 DayGlo

Hermann short. The intention was a mid-day 5.8, but half a mile in I just quit. Really wasn't feeling it. Feet hurt. Shin hurt. Zero motivation. So I walked a bit and then mixed in some hard, but very short, pick ups. Like at 99% - just all out. Kinda felt good, even if it wasn't "training" in any real sense.
