Green + Sabine and back with Chris. Oy. After about an hour, the heat started to grind me down. The legs felt strong the entire time, but the motor threatened to overheat for much of the second half of the run. This necessitated quite a bit of walking over the second hour. Is what it is. Glass is half full: last year, I'm pretty sure this one wouldn't have been managed as well and I would have fallen into full-on heat exhaustion.

Braes/HR long/Braes. Rain overnight left temps about 5 degrees cooler than yesterday - that makes a difference. Took advantage and stretched the route out a little. Never felt especially fluid, but the legs were strong throughout.

Hermann-Rice short. Speed play around the Rice loop. 4 mini-progression pick ups. Jog to normal pace to 85% to 95% and back down, with 30-sec walk between each. Decided to limit them to the Rice loop and kept the return leg very relaxed.

Hermann-Rice long. Close to last Friday in terms of nasty conditions, but the system felt much better. After a day off, the legs took a few miles to come around, but the engine was in good shape. Hit the 1000 mile mark for the year. yay.

Trails. Expectations were low as far as energy/legs. Considerably warmer than yesterday, but I just took it as it came. Walked when I needed to over the last couple of miles. Time for a day off after 7 in a row.
