Running 29:55 [3] 3.7 mi (8:05 / mi)
shoes: PureConnect3

Hermann short. Ditched the long run this morning. Zero motivation. Did manage to get out at noon for this one, just to stretch the legs. Unbelievably hot, but I was done before the heat could wear me down.

Running 36:27 [3] 4.3 mi (8:29 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow Grey/Green

Hermann. Hit the first half maybe a bit too hard & felt somewhat nauseated by the 2.5 mile mark. Walked briefly before jogging a bit & managed to get it back together enough to push the last mile a little. Nasty hot.

Running 56:31 [3] 6.5 mi (8:42 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow2 Blue

Hermann-Rice long. Worst early morning conditions of the summer. Truly wretched heat/humidity/calm wind combination. That said, managed it fairly well. Legs felt pretty good, actually. Worked to keep the motor below redline.

Running 35:41 [3] 4.3 mi (8:18 / mi)
shoes: PureConnect3

Hermann. Speed work: 3 x 0.5 mile at plus pace with 0.25 rest between each. 7:15, 7:25, 7:35 (started to die on the last one). Liking these "get it over quick" runs.

Running 34:51 [3] 4.3 mi (8:06 / mi)
shoes: PureConnect3

Hermann loop. Have decided to shorten the weekday runs in an effort to shake things up and get out of the late-summer doldrums. The effort was fairly hard, but this was due to pushing the pace a little rather than trying to survive the heat. Overall, a more satisfying experience.

Yay zero!

Running 1:02:33 [3] 6.4 mi (9:46 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow2 Blue

Hermann-Rice long. Late-morning effort in absolutely brutal heat - Reel Feel of 105 (and it felt hotter than that). Pretty much just a survival run. Very slow pace with some preemptive short walks thrown in. Slight route variation so I could stand under the splash fountains near the lake - man, it felt good. Not sure there was much to be gained by running in these conditions...
