Running 2:01:08 [3] 11.4 mi (10:38 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow4

Buffalo Bayou Park. Double loop taking it to the pedestrian bridge east of Sabine. Very hot morning. The first loop was so so. Legs didn't really have much, but they kept turning over ok. Second loop started well, but by the turnaround, things started to get a little death march-y. Just have to keep after it.

Running 37:15 [3] 4.4 mi (8:28 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow3 Blue

Hermann. Nothing better than a mid-summer run with a bad hangover. Nothing, I tell you.

Running 55:33 [3] 6.6 mi (8:25 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow4

Hermann-Rice long (zoo). A few degrees less miserable this morning (any little bit helps). Focused on maintaining an even effort and not having to take much time at water fountains or walk. Felt pretty solid throughout.

Running 48:36 [3] 5.8 mi (8:23 / mi)
shoes: PureConnect3

Hermann-Rice short. Changed up the speed work a little today to account for the fact that I was worked after yesterday's run. Instead of a bunch of hard, short intervals, I did longer, not quite as hard repeats. 3 x 5-6 mins at mid-7-ish pace, with short jog/walks in between. Just hard enough to feel it, but not so hard as to leave me shattered. Took the home stretch from Rice very relaxed, as the purpose of the workout was complete & I wanted to avoid feeling cooked at all costs. Good run.

Running 1:05:26 [3] 7.2 mi (9:05 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow4

Hermann-Rice long (zoo) + Braes. One of those epically miserable mornings. Ambient temp - 80; wind out of nowhere at 0 m.p.h.; Reel Feel - 94 (ninety-fucking-four). Tried to really stay within myself, but by the 4.5 mile mark, I knew I needed to really pull back on the throttle. So some very short walks were mixed in. Got a bit death march-y by the end.

Monday Jul 6, 2015 #

Running 56:15 [3] 6.6 mi (8:31 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow4

Hermann-Rice long (zoo). Nasty July conditions, but energy was pretty good. Stayed within myself from start to finish. Definite improvement compared to a few weeks ago.

Walking 49:50 [3] 2.6 mi (19:10 / mi)
shoes: PureFlow4

Hermann. Short walk on a hot afternoon.
