HSP. 36 and clear at the start - gorgeous weather. Can into it a little wound up - traffic sucked, then the HR totally crapped out for the first mile or so - just read 00. By the time I had accepted (and started to look forward to) running without it, fucking thing starts working, sort of. First loop was fine, but I got super hungry toward the end. HR started moving above MAF on any slight uphill and even after long flats. Was a bit aggravated by it, but finally just figured it was an opportunity to work on fast walking/hiking. Ran into Dino with about 5.5 to go & basically ditched MAF from there to the end - there was plenty of walking, but I didn't obsess when I creeped into the 140s - and it was fine. Actually enjoyed the company after 4+ months of solo running.

Hermann. Chilly & clear. Pressed for time, so kept it short. Despite a shitty night's sleep, everything felt great. Loose & relaxed & effortless.

Braes long + Hermann + Braes. Crisp & chilly morning - gloves weather. Legs felt decent, but I had a tough time getting into a relaxed groove for some reason. Crazy dreams & fitful night's sleep seems to have carried over into the run. Nevertheless, certainly not a bad run.

Braes long + Hermann + Braes. Cool & less humid than yesterday. My first non-MAF run in over 4 months! Feel like I've established a solid enough aerobic base to allow for some higher intensity stuff. So, this morning it was Fartlek-y fun. First 1.5 and last 1.0 were MAF. In between were pick ups of various lengths where I allowed myself to run the HR to 150. If I had to guess, I was only doing around 8:45 pace, but it felt great & it wasn't easy to get to 150. Probably could have run around that pace for quite some time in the high 140s. Along with some high-volume Saturday efforts, I'll do something like this each week through Dec until taper time.

Braes long + Hermann-Rice long (zoo) + Braes. Chilly, overcast morning - good conditions. Fell into a relaxed pace pretty quickly and stayed there throughout. Legs are pretty solid, but I'm not going to complain about a day off.
