H/RS. Maybe not quite as nasty as it has been recently. Had a lot of trouble relaxing into this one. HR was a bit quick to rise and slow to fall. Finally started feeling a little more chill over the last 1.5. Oh well. Got it done and that's something.

Walking 44:51 [1] 2.05 mi (21:53 / mi)
shoes: Escalante Grey

Dog walk.

HS/BL. Ugh. As if the staggeringly nasty conditions weren't bad enough, clipped the lip of a dirt to sidewalk transition and despite almost recovering, went down. Not terribly hard, but when it's fucking concrete, you don't have to land hard for it leave a mark. Or, in this case, marks. Thought about immediately packing it in, but farted around until I got 4 miles. Bleh.

Running 1:01:20 [1] 5.05 mi (12:09 / mi)
ahr:122 max:137 slept:7.75 weight:160lbs shoes: Escalante G2

H/BL. Much better effort than yesterday. A slowish first mile to see what was what, but everything after that was pretty solid. Hot as everliving fuck. NB1.

Hermann. Sort of a hot mess all around. HR was high right from the get go. Couldn't figure out if it was actually high or if the HRM was fucking up. Probably the later, as things normalized a bit after a mile or so. But it was hot as hell - maybe the nastiest morning of the summer, and my mojo was already broken, so I cut it short with a dog's breakfast of a route. Legs felt good though. That's something. Also, putting it out there - no booze for 30 days starts today.

Running 1:30:04 [2] 8.3 mi (10:51 / mi)
slept:7.5 shoes: Escalante G2

H/RL/BL+. An off-leash, long-ish effort on a very warm morning. A relaxed first mile and final 1.3. The miles in between averaged around 10:20. Each mile had two brief walk breaks to keep the engine from overheating.

Walking 41:45 [1] 1.8 mi (23:12 / mi)
shoes: Escalante G2

Hot dog walk.
