Orienteering 1:24:46 [1] 1.23 mi (1:08:56 / mi) +85m 56:45 / mi

O walk at Harris Center with the two Beths. Overcast, so not too hot, not too many bugs, entirely mosquitoes. I led, half off trail so I got some O training in the usual boulder fest. Saw some new mega-boulders. Harrisville after & home thru Peterborough.

BHS track. 14:49 first mi. Coolest morning yet - there by 0730. Forgot cell so no Strava. Felt pretty good.

Weightexercise workout 40:00 [1]

After work - 90F by then.

Sunday Jul 8, 2018 #

Cardio 14:43 [3] 1.05 mi (14:01 / mi)

First mile on hand watch. Full time was 30:39.

Cardio 15:56 [3] 1.05 mi (15:10 / mi) +1m 15:08 / mi

BHS, still early, about 60F. Accidentally hit 'update' vs 'later' on phone & so it was out of commission for the first mile. I certainly like the fact that Strava keeps track of all these & they are readily comparable.

Weightexercise workout 40:00 [1]

The weather finally changed and currently it's breezy (first wind in a week) and dry. Concord had some 7 days above 90F with equivalent humidity but nonetheless I went inside to the Y after work for today's slowing of the inevitable. Daily running with a swollen (joint effusion likely) but otherwise normal, ie, painless, ankle has no appeal.

I have a Monday appointment with the vascular surgeon and Wednesday with cardiology - an opportunity to go over various issues, including even synovitis which is what I believe is occurring in the right ankle...and maybe an orthopedist if no mutual insight from the two visits. Sub-clinical trauma and Lyme recurrence are the top two in the ankle puzzle.

Cardio 30:43 [3] 2.06 mi (14:55 / mi) +1m 14:53 / mi

BHS 40' earlier so finished w/o much heat discomfort. Right ankle impressively swollen last night, always w/o any pain or even discomfort.
Regular icing over course of day or after activity helps considerably. I'll need help figuring out what's behind it.

Note

Quiet 4th - ended the day at Kimball with Beth reading as the sun set.
Went to the boat today - first time in 6 wks. It got very hot in the shed which is large with one open door at one end. I did more sweating than I've done in any physical activity in many a year.
