Adventure Race race 5:12:00 [5] 40.0 mi (7:48 / mi)

Castlewood AR, 8 hour sprint race, St. Louis, MO with the Alpine Shop crew, David, Jeff and Emily. Super fast and fun race with a lot of fast teams. Temp was at mid 20's at start, a little cool but all things considering was not terrible. We were able to manage and had the proper clothing for the day. Actually the weather worsened day progressed.
We started with a quick 2 mile run and the went out for a paddle on the Merrimac river, we paddle for about 4 miles then got out of the boats for a quick o-course and then back to the boats for 2 more miles to the paddle take out. Then out for @ a 6 mile single track ride on sections of the mtb trails at CW. Then back to the TA for additional maps for the rest of the race. We then went on another foot o-course section then back to the bikes for the final leg of the race. With a combination of single track, limestone trail and road. Great race, super fun team mates and course. So glad I had the opportunity make the trip and race with my Alpine Shop friends.

Fat Bike (9:zero:7) 2:20:10 [3] 22.07 mi (9.4 mph)
ahr:140 max:173

MTB FatBike ride, paved and grass trails at the state park. Had a couple of inches of snow on Tuesday so first ride in the snow. So of the paved was super icy. So took it pretty easy in those sections. Fun afternoon ride, wind made this a little cold.

Run 45:47 [3] 5.1 mi (8:59 / mi)
ahr:158 max:177 shoes: New Balance 870G3

Road run around lake with Tess. The snow and ice, from last night and this am, made life a little interesting. Finally got a new HR monitor, my old one lasted almost 4 years so not too bad.
