Sprint/Urban Orienteering race (York City Race) 14:15 [4] *** 3.1 km (4:36 / km) +16m 4:29 / km
spiked:9/13c shoes: Oasics, Gel-Numbus Shoes

It was good fun, the course was short and restricted but well planned, so i lost time because I was slacking in navigation.

3- didn't look where it was lost 3s
4- overshot the alley 3s
5- the market place wasn't mapped ?s
8- wrong route choice + didn't spot the alley 8s
9- didn't read the control descriptions so went on the wrong side of the fence then missed the alley again 33s

Total- 47s round to 50s not good but OK

I was running at near fastest pace all round which was quite easy, but you had to be very sharp to avoid all the people it was PACKED and a big disadvantage to be a later starter because of all the crowds mid-day. Didn't look at my control descriptions after I entered the busy part because there wasn't room with the pace, people, course and tiny alleys.
