Put out some controls in the end so n/c.
Not alright, not much navigation needed for me - mainly because of putting out controls, but of course I know a lot of the area too.
Enjoyed it, though cold.

Intevrarsity indoors 2016.

I'd never run a proper indoor race, so when I heard they were short numbers, I thought it could be a good chance to do that, and run in Athlone - cool track.
And a chance to hit one of the yearly goals.

Was glad they split it into 2 races, and I was in the B.
Made it somewhat tactical. Sat at the back of the pack for a while, moved up with 600m to go was feeling good. And then the front 2 went with 300 or 400 left and I realised I couldn't hack it.
Still hung on with other 2 and pipped on the line (he'd given up lol).

Beat one yearly goal - quite comfy sub 4:30. Solid.
Very happy with the time - feel there's a good bit of room for improvement too.

Wednesday evening long run. With Róisín, Aoife, Niall & Christoph.
Easy week, easy run. This was nice.
Particularly pretty out this evening.

15 * 200m, 90sec jogging rest.
Short reps, long rests. Made for easy running & cold hands.
Confirmed, body feeling fresh.

May have been roped into varsity indoors this Friday.

Different way up Maulin.

Lacked energy early on, but felt strong up djouce and from here on.

Appreciate the evening off tonight. I've done a lot of my recent runs in the evening.
End of a good 6 weeks return to training.
Easy week now & sure then we'll see from there.

Gonna give a bit of my time to Aldershot tonight.
