Moving nicely along- However dreading lunchtime workout as trainer promised to really push my legs today- we shall see.

Solid session 3x12-15 legs, squats, lunges, hams, glut thrusts, calf raises etc then core- not the killer workout promised thankfully. Stretching afterwards

No one wanted to get up this morn- dogs up till midnight partying with the girls and cousin.

Jogging warm up/down 30:00 [2] 5.4 km (5:33 / km)

before and after track with 4x50m strides, drills and stretches

Track intervals (MIT) 9:09 intensity: (2:09 @3) + (6:00 @4) + (1:00 @5) 3.0 km (3:03 / km)

Plan B executed when I realized I couldn't get to Concord track by 5.30- so back to MIT intervals- yes did 3000m :-) but as 15x200m (no motivation to race by myself). 130m recovery across diagonal between. Aimed for 85% mod hard to hard effort and pace between 35-40 sec per 200 -seemed to loosen up for last half. Solid effort and pleased I got through it as follows:
37.5, 37.2, 38.1, 37.3, 37.8, 37.9, 37.6, 36.9, 38.0, 35.2, 36.3, 35.4, 35.6, 34.6, 32.6 (avg= 36.6)
Ps beautiful day for track nice and warm although a tad windy

Got out early, then watched the remembrance services.

Jogging (trail) 49:35 intensity: (20:00 @2) + (29:35 @3) 9.6 km (5:10 / km) +48m 5:02 / km

Bailed on Pawtuckaway- mentally jaded - so nice run in GBF instead. Mucho horses out today and while a bit more humid than yesterday, still very nice. Legs felt quite spritely and did the std 6 mile xc loop (305 recording short)

Quick outing at GBF- with Australian visitor in tow (girl's cousin Tyson in town and staying with us for a few days).

Reasonable out- would like to trade some of this walking for running though.

Mentally tired form a long day yesterday and intense writing day today- had to get out anyhow. Planned for about 30 mins and while legs were heavy at start, loosened up and very pleasant out.

On my way the big apple today, by train thankfully given the weather, for the not to be missed annual NYC fashion week- well missed by me except today- Rachel showing on the runway in a competition her school entered her in. Fingers crossed she gets a job out of this (winning would be nice for her too)- my investment costs are escalating :-)
Plan to stretch the legs around Central Park on route to Lincoln Center.

With time to kill, work done, rain stopped somewhere near New London, checked masters T and F rankings- pleased to note that times from 400 thru mile held up pretty well and made top 25 lists- improved over last year - just a pity I couldn't get to Nationals and like in Aug to give one final push- no injuries at least just conflicting priorities and viral / bacterial illnesses. Looking forward to indoor season. Maybe extend range to 3000m-to do anything more I would have to start doing some serious mileage; time and inclination challenges.

Penn ST to central park to Lincoln center to park again, down , beer and tea on way and back to Penn. Nice day but sweatily humid even walking.

Supima show had some talent- Rachel's creations showed very well- one of 8 finalists and very first showing at Fashion Week, so very commendable.
