XC Skiing 4:15:00 [3]

Long slow loop up on the Peter Lougheed Trails with Jen and Nicki. Did outer loop from Pocaterra main hut up to Elk Pass and back around. Snow was cold and very slow. Good extra work. Got to watch Nicki snow plow all day with made for idea heckling. Fun day!!

Rode Jackson, led Tuffin. Jack felt really good. Used full bridal. Perfect spins! Didn't do too much because was too cold outside to get really sweaty.

XC Skiing (Classic) 2:30:00 [4] 31.0 km (4:50 / km)

Lake Louise to Banff Lopett. Legs 1 & 2. Gorgeous days, lots of fun people. Skiing felt surprisingly good!! Lots & lots of double poling and kick-double poling. Jammed thumb when I stacked it. Turned blue right away and is still very sore the next day.

50% great ski today! First half was awesome, then miraculously all my wax disappeared and I kept sliding backwards on the hills. Very frustrating. Mental note: on old old old icy snow do more than 2 layers of wax!!#$^@

Hawkridge: Did all four loops twice (main, green, red, blue). Only did 1/2 of red 2nd time cause guy was working on it.

Rode Jackson & Tuffin. Jackson very heavy in mouth - need help with that. Not turning lightly. Leaving shoulder behind. ugh. Tuffin felt good and fast!

Gravel/pavement run. To secret river crossing & bk. Did hill sprints on every hill (did every hill up & down each way). Nine hills total. Ran along river bank as far as possible practicing running on uneven ground. Felt good. New shoes today felt wicked!! Should have switched out old ones long ago!

Rode Jackson - snaffle. Felt good. Was full of energy and wanted to run, so let him. Round & around & around. Finally tired then was nice.

XC Skiing (Classic) 1:10:00 [3] 13.0 km (5:23 / km)

XC ski. +9C outside was impossible to wax for. Track set was pure ice. Frustrating ski as I was sliding all over. Major arm work out cause I mostly double poled!!
