Orienteering at Nobscot. I first went orienteering there in 1975 and have been back quite a few times over the years. It always seemed to be the most fun place to orienteer, by a long shot, of anyplace in the eastern part of the state. And today it lived up to its reputation.

Green course, 4.9 km beeline. My navigating was adequate, my movement (the usual mix of run and walk) seemed excellent. Zero complaints.

A nice visit with JJ and Nancy in the parking lot, both before and after. And a totally pleasant ride out and back with Phil. We've both been double-shotted for a while, so it seemed like at some point you need to get on with life and start doing things. Without, hopefully, doing anything foolish.

A loop through South Deerfield and Old Deerfield. Sunny, low 70s, S breeze. Had it in my face the last 8 miles, so put out more effort to keep the pace about the same. Will probably feel it tomorrow.

With Gail, flats to the south. Sunny, low 70s, good breeze from the south.

Pocumtuck Ridge trail, up to the picnic table overlook and back. Lots and lots of walking bits. But not so bad, and a little longer than I've been doing. Sunny and warm, mid-70s.

With Gail, north along the river. Good breeze from the north, so coming back was a lot easier and quicker than going out. Sunny, 60s.

Rattlesnake Gutter Road (same as last Friday). Ran a little more of the ups, so working harder, but still not too bad (ie. unpleasant).

Who Knew bike trail and then North Mountain up to Gunn, and back. Legs very weary after yesterday's ride, but no sore places.
