trail run 39:39 [2] 7.6 km (5:13 / km)

Morning run on the trails close to the Galler's house in Old Saybrook. Nice little trail system, kind of funny that I introduced Mike's family to it. Slippery today too but not slushy like yesterday afternoon, today crusty snow & ice. Again orienteering shoes would have been good. Met a man running and he raised his hand and said "Hey, I'm not crazy" (?)

bike 55:23 [2] 23.26 km (2:23 / km)

Beautiful day just a little windy, the sea had such a pretty color & the view of Long Island was very clear.

trail run 1:14:11 [2] 11.21 km (6:37 / km)

Started at Chatfield Hollow going to the trails on the other side of the road. It was very slippery with the snow melting in the sun. Turned around after a while cause it felt a bit unsafe, many obstacles: rocks, ice, trees laying down etc. Orienteering shoes would have been the way to go. Kept running and did a loop on the trails in the park.

zumba (zumba) 1:00:00 [3]

Sarah & I went swimming with dolphins in the morning :-D Water was really cold (15°C, 60°F) but that didn't matter.. dream come true!!

Then as Mike was leaving for work in CA and Sarah & Gordan also had an afternoon flight and my flight to CT wasn't until 9pm.. I looked up a ZUMBA-place, took a cab there and then back to the airport.

The girl who had the class was Monze from Cuba. It's fun to try different styles. She had lots of Rumba & ChaCha even some Flamenco. She's a great dancer as she also competes in couples dance. But I noticed a few mistakes that we got warned not to do in instructor class: just looking at yourself in the mirror > you have to pay a lot of attention to your students it's your job to make sure it's on a level that works for them so that they can walk out of there feeling good and happy, make sure they're having a good time ALSO stop to switch music, look for songs on your iPod > class would just be standing, heartbeats go down, start cooling off, not good.

A DVD-class at the screened porch. Last night here in the keys :-(

run 31:58 [2] 6.92 km (4:37 / km)

Started running along US1, but even down here very heavy traffic and no separate walk/bike paths, not fun running in the exhaust smell. The streets in the neighborhood are mostly dead ends stopped by the canals, so I ran down some streets and turned around.
