run 52:54 [2] * 9.58 km (5:31 / km) +330m 4:43 / km

One more hilly morning run. It was hot in the sun and I felt dehydrated, walked some.
Back to a nice outdoor breakfast with blueberry waffels and Cole made fresh juice :-)

walk 1:00:00 [1] * 5.8 km (10:21 / km) +68m 9:46 / km

Walk to & from Tennessee beach. It was really hot when we left the house in San Rafael and even if this place is only a ~20min drive away, the weather was completely different there, cold & windy from the fog. We wrapped ourselfs in towels etc and camped out in between some cliffs for picnic. Crazy waves made quite a show right infront of us.

Note

after going on some side streets in Mill Valley on our way back from the beach we're now up to 100 VW buses!

bike 2:56:42 [1] 46.67 km (3:47 / km) +827m 3:29 / km

We rented bikes at Mike's bikes :-) in Sausalito, not much to choose from.. Mike got a roadbike and I got a mtb. Lots of bikers here! A mix of tourists and serious all gearded out people on custom bikes. Sausalito-Golden gate bridge-look out point-Sausalito, lunch by the houseboats-Mill valley, Peet's coffee-Sausalito

walk (hike) 1:42:50 [1] * 7.45 km (13:48 / km) +174m 12:21 / km

Hike with Mike, Brody, Serge & Cole from their place in San Rafael over the hill to San Anselmo for dinner (at Taco Jane's, an all organic restaurant, awesome! Yesterday we went to Weezy's organic burger place and Three Twins organic icecream place). Saw eucalyptus trees and a deer with furry antlers.
Other times they've brought headlamps and hiked home too, we had placed a car there though and drove back.

Note

I love it here! Everything is so great: nature, people, food, wine.. Don't wanna go back east.
And Mike's in heaven, well kept old cars everywhere. We're counting VW buses -89 and older, we've seen 68 so far.

trail run (/hike) 44:26 [2] * 6.58 km (6:45 / km) +240m 5:43 / km

Today we drove south on Pacific Coast Highway. Stunning views. Checked in at our place in Big Sur and went for a little run/hike before sunset. Up to the valley view and waterfall, stopped to chat with a Swedish family.. then I was gonna run back but got a bit scared as there was signs warning for mountain lions, so I walked the trail and ran the road.

Note

Mike & I went to pick up Jonas (Kjäll) in Berkeley. Had a great day on Limantour beach. Fun to catch up and hang out, he's in a good spot here!

Later we had tickets for Giants-Dodgers, sat in loud section with fans from both teams, pretty entertaining.

run 44:11 [2] * 8.2 km (5:23 / km) +321m 4:30 / km

Today we drove from Groveland to San Rafael. Staying at Mike's cousin's. I went for a run/overview of the area - these rolling hills are like nothing else! Decided to go up the hill that the map said was 900 ft, figured I would get a view west.. But it was all fenced off up there, impossible to see anything that direction. When I got back they explained that it's James Hetfield's property behind there so that's why it's fenced off.
