Wow, this is where I really noticed something's not right with my body, I push but it doesn't respond, smallest hill makes me breathe so heavy..
No big mistakes, just not keeping up with the fast girls and tough course with lots of climb. A few less optimal route choices mostly to stay in contact with the girls that I still had in sight. Disappointed.

Cold beautiful morning, early start. Another fun time out there. Smaller mistakes today but again I felt weird, out of energy.

cool down with Ross & Lisa. We chatted some in Swedish, concluded that none of us had had any great race this weekend.. then Ross said 'men grattis till bra lopp' (but congrats to good race) ..it sounded like.. what he really said was 'men grattis till bröllop' (but congrats to wedding). Pretty funny!

With the training area Hagryd-Dala in mind I went into this thinking it would be super hard both technical & physical. Went a bit too slow and still did mistakes, two bigger ones. But I had fun, the terrain was much nicer than in the training area.

Contour-o, Idala. The map just had brown features, unpassable marches and some unpassable cliffs, no meridians and it was slightly twisted some direction. I figured I'd try without a compass too, put it in my pocket. Had to beg to get a regular map as backup.
Well, I didn't get very far before I was lost and had to pull out both the regular map and the compass. Got to the first control but stood there forever looking for a kite until I realised it was a streamer not visable from the spot I was standing. Tried running with the brown map to #2 too but when I ended up lost again I gave up. This was not an exercise for me today, don't wanna completely spoil my o-confidence before the weekend of Swedish champs.

Right as we were about to start 3 big trucks arrived to the parking lot. I didn't stick around to see what was up but someone mentioned maybe they were there to spread chalk. And sure enough as I was out in the woods an helicopter with a big bag hanging under it kept flying back and forth very close to the ground.

yoga 12:00 [1]

orienteering 1:07:00 [2] 5.59 km (11:58 / km) +66m 11:18 / km

Well that was not a good quality training. Started at 6pm and it quickly got darker out. Felt a bit stressed thinking about that, the risk of getting injured and being alone out there. Clearly not focused enough for this tough very detailed terrain. Cut it short. Should try this in daylight and I think it would be best to go without a compass.
On a positive note it was beautiful views of the sunset skies out over the sea.
