Visit to the Chinese doctor who fixed my face. He diagnosed hip out, knee out, foot out and back out (no wonder l had sciatica).
He punctuated very sentence with 'this is going to hurt', which it did.
First the small needles for 20 mins, then the big needles (about 6 in back and hip, which he twisted painfully), then a rest under hot blankets, then a massive tweak of my foot, then my knee, then my hip (felt like it was going to dislocate), then a gentle massage of my lower back vertebrae.
No stretching of the piriformis muscle, no crossing legs, no sitting in low chairs or the floor, and no bananas for a week!
If he cant fix me in 3 sessions, its off to surgery (but l think this comment reflected a degree of confidence).
He's a western trained doctor as well, has practised in Taiwan for 20 years, where he saw 100 patients a day, and he said my complaint is nothing special. So heres hoping....
