Scottish 6 Days, last day, Ardchattan.. M21L. 15/37 +35%. Happy with the running but irritated with 4.5min error error at no. 2 (overshot) and 3 min at 16 (drifted offline, lost height). Definitely need to work on my terrain running at some point but this was quite positive - with a clean run could get a reasonable time.

Seeing as I'm not at the 6 days cheered myself up by going to the North Berwick Law race. Great fun.... lovely sunny evening with fog on the top of the hill. Not sure exactly what my time was but ran hard and felt really good. Lost about 20s and a couple of places on the descent otherwise overtaking continuously after the first few minutes.

Hill sprints again. No achilles problem this week. I think it's as simple as my achilles tendons can deal with one interval session a week, but not two.

Scottish 6 Days, Day 1, Dunollie and Dunstaffnage. M21L. 33/48 +54%.

Annoyed with myself - was doing fine. 17th at the 6th control despite a small wobble on 5. Lost 2 mins at 7 - failed to spot the control hidden up a narrow bracken path between two hills, ran past and relocated back to same spot. But blew 9 mins at 8. It was clear it was dangerous - but I found the diagonal contour feature before the control... I think I may have pulled up just short of it? (Confidence failure?) Ran up to the forest edge. Failed to have confidence in conviction that actually I'd come out in just about the right place. Went round the houses for way too long. No excuse for staying out of contact that long so close to a catching feature. Without that error I'd have taken about 80' and been quite happy.

Pity I can't stay around this week to work on a better place.
