To Farmers' Market and back. The peak of the season: fantastic midwest corn, tomatoes, peaches, berries, summer squash, etc. etc. Quite a slog, coming back on the bike, loaded like a Vietnamese street vendor.

Over to Starbucks in cold, driving rain at 5am. Then various errands around neighborhood. Rebuilding bedroom table lamp.

Harborside International-Port Golf Course. Hot and windy. And this GC, on top of an old garbage dump, has no trees, nothing to break the strong southerlies. Working on getting more distance. Using some of the many instructional videos on YouTube, and finding them quite helpful. Better perhaps than a private lesson since they lay out all the fundamentals...which private instructors never take the time to repeat.

Hit well as a result...longer drives and fairway shots...when everything came together. Basically trying to get left arm completely straight on the backswing, tee the ball higher so the driver hits an ascending shot, and work to LAG the club through the downswing. Lots to remember. But very gratifying when it all comes together. Completely spent by the time I got home.

Ran by the driving range on the Lakefront. Noticed an abundance of range balls lying in the grass outside the high fence. Somebody's got a 300+ yard drive! So I stopped to pick up a few for shots over marshes and lakes. I never hit such shots with confidence when it is a monogrammed ProV1x at stake. Much more relaxed when all I have to lose is a range ball....
