morning jog, a bit more than intended!
10 AM

Orienteering - hard 1:00:00 [4]

first session of the camp, O intervals. good to work through some gears physically (and to actually have some!!) and to pressure my technique after being mostly clean yesterday. and it worked, i was pretty messy. what is deceptive here is being able to have a high speed on some bits and then hitting the ridges/beach wth deep sand and finding it much harder to shift anywhere. it's tough mentally and means it's hard to get into one consistent groove. will be good to analyse properly.

Orienteering - easy 35:00 [2]

Recovery training, middle distance style, going for complete control. Unfortunately i think i got one of those poisonous thorn things in my little toe early one, it hurt a lot and blistered up immediately. i had to stop to check what was going on but decided to continue. It was all a bit too much for my technique, and i was also a bit hampered at times by not having a clue where i was.

Orienteering - easy 42:00 [2]

Hmm a lot of not training, but feel a lot better here and reset now. Anyway back to the dunes! First training, first mid training stop to knock the sand out my shoe, first elderly nudey man (who seemed more shocked than i was, i think he thought he had a quiet spot in the forest. But he was on the red line haha)

Its easier here to believe i have a hope of saving the season.

Ågesta extended. Nicer off-piste with the surface conditions. Good stress buster.
6 PM

Orienteering - medium intervals 1:05:00 [3]

intervals round night o relay training. even more rusty at night! especially to begin with, the butterfly in the end went a bit better :-) that manky old snow that gives really slowly, like you're on a stepper machine. a bit worried about my crap form but at least i could run with power when i hit a path, so i think its just some more harder runs in heavy terrain i need in the next few weeks.

The week's recovery day. Apart from my back it's mainly work stress to recover from, and I was short of sleep too.

Running - hard intervals 17:30 [4]
shoes: Adidas flats

Bosön again. 5x1km/60s. modest pace but i'm so happy to have at least made progress from last week and this felt comfortable enough. Apart from my back, which has seized up again. None of the shorter ones after this, as planned but also not sure i could anyway.

Ropsten - Bosön is griiim in this weather. Passed more quickly explaining to Mikaela about orienteering, really is a whole other world...

Started off stressed and not enjoying the slush, moaned to parents on phone, felt better, ran with Louise for a bit, enjoying life more, had to do an extra loop in a sleet shower and then crawl home from the shop.
