X-trainer.

"you're not allowed back in the house unless you go to pop tarts" aftermath day. Happily for my training, i have no more lost weekends this year. Got into it fine once i had caught up on a bit of sleep.

SPOOK relays legs 2, 4, 6 (with Kim on the others). A nice place to do the first harder running for quite a while. i also did a lot of wandering about and went by the age old method of finding all the gaffles on the first loop, so i knew what i was doing a bit more on the second. then a big faff with a misplaced control on the last. all in all i was a bit of a muppet and thinking more than i should about my foot (which made it through okay, even though i had to take it a bit easier on the last one - the break between loops is perfect for making everything feel rubbish)

not feeling incredible after late night curry last night

Wrapped up extra warm, quite slow going when my back wheel brake wasnt working too well. Even slower on the way back when i got a front wheel puncture. Got to the downhill and realised it was no longer rideable. Big thanks RRR for rescuing me!

"when will the snow come?" Jack keeps asking. Well Jack, i have found where it is (it starts at Ringinglow, with the fog). An hour terrain from lady cannings... Reached stanage pole after 30min heather and tussocks, had lost the tiny path in the snow that i was trying to run parallel to. thought i would go back via Burbage bridge where the path was bigger, even if it was a bit longer. It ended up quite a lot longer when i ran the wrong way on the big track (and my watch ran out of battery here, ominously)... At least i felt okay, but capped the run at 90 cos i thought i was asking for trouble and walked the last little bit past the ox stones.

Alternative training warm up/down 30:00 [2]

Maybe even colder than Monday on the way home. Why do most sessions feel like a punishment atm?!

Out on ramsley moor (there's a race here next weekend but i wont be able to make it!) Supposed to be bearing training, i wasnt very good. I think because it was rough underfoot and im not quite confident yet. However foot was pretty good, so positive from a rehab point of view.

Alternative training 1:30:00 [2]

Cycled there and back. It was a bit rainy and the way home was the coldest ive been for a long time.
