intervals later this week again, and didn't think 3 times in a week was the best idea just yet. so jogged out from home, went through loads of drills and then 3x short hill, trying to run lightly and springy on the way up and strong and quick off the top. then jog home.

easy evening run, but maybe a run too far today? was feeling tired, so enforcing a rest day tomorrow! did see a shrew though :-)

resting legs a bit. at the gym, avoiding downhills (where i'm not really doing anything) having to stop to open gates all the time and getting in the way of everyone walking and cycling on the cycle path

2x 4/3/2/1min with 1 min jog between, 5 min jog between sets. undulating grass.

more intervals :-O not feeling so fast but just going for a consistent speed and good technique, legs still a bit heavy but certainly better than yesterday. might start to feel like a proper runner soon if this carries on! :-D

not intervals i'd wanted :-( legs still really sore from saturday (why? i was only using my own bodyweight, maybe im fatter than i thought...) even after walking over there and warming up. oh well, i guess i just need some extra rest. hope to be fine for some intervals tomorrow!

Maybeck. Mixture of tracks and terrain, feeling a bit crap on the terrain compared to tracks after no orienteering for a bit, and some doms from yesterday, but as dad said, at least i'm running.

was going to go to do some intervals on a gym bike but forgot the gym closes at 6 and by the time i'd watched WOC relays there was no time :-(

but needed to do some S&C anyway so did that instead. big mix of circuits, core, running technique drills in garden (barefoot)

will make a proper plan for training now, no more doing just what i feel like!

felt like i was getting a sore throat this morning, so no training then, but felt much better later so headed out as planned for first (tiny) intervals for ages :-)

10 1/2 x 90/30s, had planned for 12-15 as a starting point but had to stop halfway through 11th with 'interval tummy' yuck, so just a slow jog home after that. will look into how to avoid it.

will take a bit to get used to pushing myself hard without a map to distract me, even though it was short this was harder than cross/training intervals! such a good feeling after though, can't wait for next time. geek.

easy day. jog with dad round Skelder, real easy with just 6x about 100m strides near end.
