MTB Bikepacking trip with full bikepacking kit but without an overnight stay. I planned this the night before and just set out to complete it. The plan was to get out to (almost) Neath on a route south of NCN 47 and then head back on NCN47. The westwards route pieced together as many rights of ways as possible and taking in new areas.

Westwards was far slower than I expected due to gates, hike-a-bike and loose steep gravel.

Stop #1 was at a convenience store in Pontcymer where I had a sandwich, pastie and stocked up on sweets. Plus water refill.

Stop #2 was at a convenience store where I had a chocolate milk drink, angel slice type cake (yum), pasta and coke plus water refill.

Stop #3 was at Pontypridd where I had sausage and chips and a lovely cup of tea.
