Running 39:24 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (26:24 @2) + (3:00 @3) 6.0 km (6:34 / km) +30m 6:24 / km
shoes: R-NB 891's

Running with Oriana who was on her bike. I had to stop and help her a bit, but this was a pretty legit. 'easy day' running training for me, plus a nice bike ride for her. We'll do this again :)

Orienteering 23:00 [2] 3.1 km (7:25 / km)
shoes: O-VJ Integrator Spikes

PM training. Not much energy left so I jogged around for the technical training and even at that pace I still missed one about a minute plus.

Running warm up/down 16:00 [2] 2.0 km (8:00 / km) +50m 7:07 / km
shoes: O-VJ Integrator Spikes

PM Training to/from

Running warm up/down 3:00 [1] 0.4 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: O-VJ Integrator Spikes

Poor warmup. Hot day and tired...

Orienteering race 50:08 [3] 6.0 km (8:21 / km) +200m 7:10 / km
shoes: O-VJ Integrator Spikes

Ran pretty hard on the 1st half, oversimplifying and blowing by # 3 (also while trying to run away from Alison.) Alison kept up with me for over 10 minutes in the forest - very nice to see she's (a) fit and (b) not afraid to move that fast through the green-ish forest at Hickory Run. I think Angelica generally meets (a) but not (b), although if Alison keeps turning the heat on, Angelica may have to move faster :)

Ran out of zip about halfway, and the rest was a fast jog.

Orienteering race 16:14 [4] 3.0 km (5:25 / km) +80m 4:46 / km
shoes: O-VJ-Grey-Spikes

3rd training - Sprint. Was 47 seconds behind Eddie. In 5th, 13 seconds behind Sam... Next time I'm at Hickory run, I may have to go run that Sprint again - the plan to do it on Sunday AM was thwarted by dead legs and little time after misc. parenting stuff.

Speaking of which, AJ did a White training with me, a 'beginner training', a Night O' and White with Mom on Sunday. Lots of O' for him of various efforts.

Orienteering 40:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) + (20:00 @4) 5.0 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: O-VJ-Grey-Spikes

Driving up the morning of, after I flew in overnight from work in Monterey, CA, we were late, so I did just about half the morning training.

Orienteering intervals 28:00 [4] 4.67 km (6:00 / km) +150m 5:10 / km
shoes: O-VJ-Grey-Spikes

5 x 3 control sprints with Ross, taking turns starting 30 seconds back. Ross tended to reel me most of the way in, and I made up little ground and by the end lost ground. The head to head did force us to move fast, esp. the 1st leg easy part...

Running 1:01:15 intensity: (14:00 @1) + (47:15 @2) 10.62 km (5:46 / km) +30m 5:41 / km
shoes: R-Asics

Blew off intervals in (correct) anticipation of a hard weekend. Ran with a nearby project-lead at work who I'd bumped into at the end of the previous morning's run.

I'm really not an early-AM runner, but with two full days of formal & informal meetings (9am-10pm on Thu. and 9am-~8pm, then a plane on Fri.), early AM was the only choice..

An attempt at the Yasso 800's I'd just read about. Made it to 7x800 in 2:56-2:59. Ave. of 10x800 is required as a marathon time predictor...

Running 2:09:18 [2] 22.58 km (5:44 / km) +560m 5:06 / km
ahr:135 max:152 shoes: R-NB 891's

6k in Brookmead Farms then back home and picked up Angelica for the rest of the loop. Thunderstorm came through during 2nd half of run and we split up by ~50m to improve the odds that one of us would make it back to pick up the kids.
