Was feeling worn out and sore from the previous day. Decided to go for an easy run along the coast instead of touring again. It was a good call!

I know my heart rate isn't super high but I felt like it was racing. I took the past couple days off so I would feel okay for this race. The first bit was boot hiking up a super icy slope until you could put your skis on. Then you skinned out of the treeline, up and over the summit. Finish off with some knee-deep powder until you fit an icy creek with dead fall so you hike the rest of the way out.

Got roped into two soccer games tonight, yup not the best idea after sprint camp and being sick.

Was feeling a bit better today so I tried running closer to race pace. Went pretty well but this was a running race and I was not in shape for that.

This race went pretty well. I pushed my comfort zone with over and underpass because in the past I would take the long route to avoid them.

So we had a mass start for those that didn't make it into the chase sprint. I did okay just no game in the tank and being sick doesn't help you run faster. Orienteering technic was good because we had already raced on this map so I was comfortable on it.

Thank gosh this was the last race!!!!!! I was ready to be done. I really screwed up on the first loop and spent a fair bit of time looking for the hub control. When I was in the train I should have been reading my map more closely. I also messed up a control on the last loop but figured that out a lot quicker than the first mistake. I just went too far east.

Ran o-trevals with Erica and Emma. We had different maps that ended in the same and started in the same spot. I was focusing on smooth through controls and planning ahead. Since I couldn't run at full speed because of the cold the flow and planning went pretty well.

Wonderfull intervals!!!! Today was 10x 1 minute with a minute rest. Warm up and cool down included in time. This time around I sent a better pace so I could jog the recovery and push through the interval
