The descent day from the alpine, definitely found a better route on the way down then on the way up. Navigation skills also came in handy because we found the trail when we went bushwhacking.

The ascent to Archibald ridge (not peak because of bad weather). Today was a lot about route choice because there was a 3km thick bushwacking section that we avoided with an alternate route choice. When we got up to the alpine we couldn't find the route up to the ridge so we made our own, definitely was not the best or safest route but we got to the ridge and then had to turn right around because of bad weather.

Went as a group and practiced relocation. One would lead and the rest couldn't read their maps until the leader stopped and then you try and figure out where you are. Move time was 25:31, with stops the practice was 53 minish

Picked up controls from the Wednesday night meet. Went into the fun zone and had some "fun" had to relocate on 10 and the trail I was using to relocate off of was grown over so I didn't see it the first time.

Ran part of the expert course and it went okay. I didn't have trouble trying to find controls just the dog that came with me. I wasn't planning on running the whole race with how I have been feeling. I am picking up the controls of the section I missed.

First training after the River Quest and I felt good until control 5 and then the energy left me and it was really hard to stay focused and remember where I was. The training was clean thou I had no blow-ups which I'm proud of.
