Skiing (Hike) 2:00:00 [3]

Swap ski with hike due to weather conditions and work needed to be done at home.

Very windy but pleasant walk in and around Uetliberg.

Swimming 40:00 [3] 1.6 km (25:00 / km)

For the first time I enjoyed swimming. It was a beautiful day outside and the sun got through to the swimming pool :-D Pool was very crowded as 4 lanes were reserved (2 for ewz training and 2 for a 12-hour marathon!!).

The different drills helped me to get my mind away from swimming and into the drills. Enjoyed the fist drill. Right and alternate breath: disaster for the first 200, much better for the second one.

(Which Total Immersion book would you recommend to start with?)
12 PM

Running (Tabata Run) 20:00 [3]

OK. Next time I need to do this outside town as I have the feeling that people got a bit scared when they saw me running like crazy for the 20" :-D

Kept running at very slow pace for the 10". Is that right?

Strength (Urban Jungle Gym) 30:00 [3]

Who needs a gym when there are so many things around ones own house? :-D Excellent workout, enjoyed (and suffered) it a lot. Just some thoughts:

- Stairs - Used stairs with (12+small rest+12 steps) and went up 5 times.
- Sometimes needed more than 3 minutes between stations to loose my legs.
8 PM

Yoga 30:00 [3]

PT exercises indeed include the lying glute stretch!!

Had terrible night of sleep due to the cold but woke up much better. Nose completely blocked but improving :-D

Note
(sick)

Woke up with a cold: blocked nose, headache and muscle pain. I don't normaly get colds but I guess that the last two weeks (with little sleep) are catching up on me.

Feeling a bit better through the day but decided to move training to tomorrow.

Running (Track) 30:00 [3]

1 mile - 6' 54'' - 107% Max Heart Rate
800 meters - 2' 58 - 110% Max Heart Rate

I found it quite difficult to get to the right pace, completely unaware where my running pace limits are. For both distances, I thought I could go faster, I was a bit frustrated after it. The 800 m to recover felt a bit too long, as was completely recovered on the first 400 meters.

I was my Birthday!! :-D
7 PM

Strength (Bike Crunches) 5:00 [3]

Did the bike crunches on the PT session. She is quite pleased with my progress and I will discuss on Thursday if there is any need for me to carry on with the PT sessions.

Strength (Jump Rope) 10 [3]

Jump Rope: I thought that my arms and legs will drop off after the 10 minutes :-D
6 PM

Yoga 1:30:00 [3]

Thanks for suggesting this!! Attended the class and thought it was great. I really believe that this is going to help me a lot. Would once a week be enough?
