SMRG Chirico Tenpeat (but Martin could only do eight)

Damn that Chirico trail is tough... especially after five or six laps. I was told it's about 1.8 miles to the top and 1700' of vertical.

My first four were great and then I slowed down some on the fifth. Six was hard and I thought I was going to pull the plug after seven but got talked into eight. I was cramping pretty frequently during the eighth lap so decided quitting was better than taking a digger on that VERY rocky trail.

Fucking awesome day, it was almost 50 degrees at the start and 80 by the finish. My shirt lasted one whole lap and then it came off. And there was TONS of support in the way of food and drink.

I had some good salt stains on my shorts for the first time since last summer.

Since my Cascadia shoes are toast I wanted to test drive something that I can wear tomorrow. These worked fine.

My body just felt okay.

Note
slept:6.0 (rest day)

Man, Saturday kind of killed me... I was hoping to go for a run today just to try and bounce back but totally lost motivation. Got a big run planned for Wednesday so I won't worry about it. Too much.
