Passport2Pain

This should really be called "Passport2Pain++" or "Passport2Pain plus more pain plus even more pain" because I lost my car key on he ride and so had to had to ride to the ferry (10 miles, mostly uphill) and then from the ferry home (another 10 miles, mostly uphill).

That said this is a killer event and I have never before gained 10k in 80 miles. Stout! And a perfect day for it.

Fleet Feet run

Bradlaugh Robinson showed up! Great to chat and catch up. My left hip acted up some but but I finished okay and wasn't limping much after.

This pace felt mellow but I'm realizing that I need to cool it even more on that hill if I want to stay in zone 2.

The Rut 50k

I was so beat I forgot to turn off my GPS for about 10 minutes... actual time was 7:40 and change.

Got 2nd in my age group by five minutes. :( I kind of died the last five miles and had to walk a few times.

This course is uber legit! And the hill to the last aid station AND one mile from the finish are a giant kick in the balls. Which were already pretty sore from all the other climbs. Still, perfect weather and freaking incredible scenery, this is an amazing course.
