Crystal Mountain Sky Marathon

Other than me straining my left hip yet again on the first descent and it hurting while running the rest of the day I think I did pretty well. I was hiking strong and nailed my nutrition so the only think slowing me down was my hip.

It was great to meet so many people I knew here today and to run with some of them for extended periods too. We got lucky with the weather and it was perfect during the run. Not hot, not cold, not windy. I started in short sleeves and it was fine all day long.

Got a PR by about 13 minutes in spite of my hip.

Fleet Feet run

I wasn't sure how I would feel but when the lead bunch took off a bit faster than I normally would I tried to tag along. It lasted about half way and then I faded back from the front bunch. I also faded a little on the hill but this was still a solid effort for me.

My HR numbers are legit.
