Run (Pavement) 24:00 [2] 2.5 mi (9:36 / mi)
ahr:167 shoes: Brooks

Mid 80s, very humid
first run in a few weeks
no problem with my lower back.
Felt OK for the first 20 minutes or so, then ran out of steam.
Probably not the smartest thing to go running late afternoon when it's so humid, but you do it when you have the time and can kick yourself out the door....

Exer Bike 20:00 [2]

First workout in a while. Back has been feeling much better the past few days, but still want to take it easy for a while.

nothing inspiring, but it did take the edge off having only a few hours sleep the night before.

Canoeing 45:00 [2]

On Winnisquam from Ahern beach

A duck and some ducklings there to watch me launch, then they took off along the shore as I headed out for the Sanbornton shore. Just acouple of poewr boats out there, it will be a lot more crowded and louder in a few weeks.

Saw a mosquito on the top of my foot, but missed it when I swatted. It pulled out, but was too heavy, with my blood, to fully take off. It tired walking up the side on the canoe, but couldn't get a grip. I snagged it by a wing and dropped it in the water. Hope it's fed a fish by now. I contemplated trying to get my blood back, but wasn't sure how I'd get it back into me.

Very calm - hardly any wind, which was fine. Low 70s, close to perfect for a peaceful few minutes out on the water.

Run (pavement) 26:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks

after a few hours working with fiberglass insulation, nothing like a short run in a light rain to readjust one's outlook on life.

Itching a bit, but a bit of sweat and external moisture, followed by a good shower, washes it all away.
