Run 33:00 intensity: (18:00 @3) + (15:00 @4) 4.55 km (7:15 / km) +150m 6:14 / km
ahr:150 max:162 shoes: New Bal 572 Trail

Not feeling that well, but wanted to get out for a bit and stretch my legs.

Found a few more new mtn bike trails winding thorugh the center part of Ahern - need to get them added onto the map.

Run 30:00 intensity: (1:00 @2) + (17:00 @3) + (12:00 @4) ** 4.42 km (6:47 / km) +150m 5:48 / km
ahr:147 max:161 shoes: New Bal 572 Trail

Hadn't been out for a few days and was feeling it. Evening run at Ramblin' Vewe - on the verge of warm.

Hasn;t rained for a while, but there's a couple of persistent muddy spots at inconvenient spots that are hard to get around. Getting antsy to map this area - wish Greg L would get back to me on status of potential LIDAR flight.

Run warm up/down 10:00 [2] **
shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

Between the assembly area and the restrooms, then to the start. Cool and breezy. Took a model map for the jog to the start - helped to get my head into it.

Orienteering race 58:00 intensity: (16:00 @3) + (42:00 @4) *** 5.5 km (10:33 / km) +140m 9:21 / km
ahr:153 max:165 spiked:8/13c shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

WCOC Classic Distance Green, advertised as 5.5 km, 6.02 per Garmin. So by the Garmin, I was under 10 min/km.

Pretty pleased overall. A few minor bobbles, could have been better just before the circle, but only a few seconds here and there. Going over a couple of the route choices with others later - might have been some that were faster or less risky, but mostly acceptable. Second on the course to Bill Pullman.

Run warm up/down 5:00 [2]
shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

Under threatening skies. Nice model map of the area leading to the start.

Orienteering race 36:19 intensity: (14:19 @3) + (22:00 @4) *** 3.2 km (11:21 / km) +100m 9:49 / km
ahr:153 max:165 spiked:8/11c shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

WCOC Middle Distance, advertised as 3.2 km, 3.94 distance travelled per Garmin.

Threatening weather, and the skies opened just as I started. Had talked to Charlie DeWeese earlier, who had had problems with his glasses fogging up earlier. Caused me some issues, between water on my glasses and some fogging at inopportune times.
Ok on 1 & 2, then bobbled 3, thought I was to the right, but had wandered left / downhill. Recovered off the lower trail where it hit the trickle, had to get back up to it. Screwed up 4 royally - beelining and miscounted stonewalls crossed. Rough compass and distance took me to another rockface with a knoll behind it, but the knoll was more of a spur, with no rock face on the other side. Saw the signs for the out of bounds area, which pulled me up - relocated off that and a trail, had to go back 150 meters.
Ok after that, but was pissed and not real focused. Should have been around 30 min.

Road run from the Hilton Garden in Warwick. Stomache not real great, but knew I needed to get out and do something.

Exercise bike at the hotel - raining pretty good with some thunder rumbling, so wimped out and stayed inside.
