Red course at Nottingcook - quite a few challenges from Bob Lux - a nice course.
Not a clean run at all - 1 was mediocre, looped around at 2 losing about 45 sec per GPS, 3, an 80m leg, lost about 4 minutes. Clean to 4, 5, 6, then lost another 4-5 minutes on 7 (GPS shut itself off for some unknown reason). A lot of subtlety to the terrain, and very variable vegetation with inconsistent sight lines. Not using pace count well, not using features on the map and matching them up with what I see at all.
Rest of the course not too bad, some sloppy execution, of lack of a plan to execute...
Had a few sections where I felt where I was moving well, speed work is a wonderful thing.
Got some input for Billygoat course setting - don't make it too long, make sure the controls are in the right place, it's OK if the runnability isn't the best, don't make it too long.

Setting out some controls ahead of time.
Either my feet are growing or my shoes are shrinking. Changed to another pair before going out on my course.
