Mapping 2:04:06 [0] 5.47 km (22:40 / km) +147m 19:59 / km

Mapping session at RV Farms. Working off a USGS base will be OK for part of it, but the eastern section really needs something more accurate - a lot of contour subtlety that will be hard to create from scratch.

Up Mt Carrigain from the Sawyer River Road. Per AMC Guide, 5 miles each direction and 3250 ft climb.
Fairly warm - was sweating up a storm. Could have used about a cup more water, as I ran out 1/4 from the parking lot on my return. A lot of folks out on the trail - passed 5 individuals/groups on the way up and there was close to 2 dozen hanging out on the summit.

Was pretty beat when I got back, but still got in a bit of fishing further up the Sawyer River a mile or so.

Up Gunstock and down from the Gunstock parking lot.
Went up along the left (Pistol) side, came down the jeep trail, then over Rowe to the towers and down the road/trail from there. There's a new bigger tower on top of Rowe - fence is not up yet, but looks like it might cut off the existing trail.

Not a lot of energy - took it easy up and down.

Orienteering 41:30 [3] ** 4.2 km (9:53 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 MudClaws

Running the Mtn bike course from this weekend at Ahern. Warm and very sticky, not feeling a lot of pep.

Wearing my contacts, so reading the map was a bit problematic in the darker sections. Although, I shouldn't need to read the map - I made it for god's sake, and knew exactly where each of the control locations was.

Was torn in some cases between taking the optimal foot route and followingmor closely where a mtn biker is more likely to have gone - some macho need to show I could be faster over the same course without even being smart about it??

Wasn't wearing my Garmin, so distance travelled is an estimate - straightline advertised distance was 3.8 k.

Run warm up/down 6:00 [1] 0.7 km (8:34 / km)

Warm up on some of the closer in mtn bike trails.
