Nice morning run. A few cars at the lot - mountain bikers and dog walkers mostly.
Cool and a bit of sun.

Checking out trails between the class 6 portions of Belknap Mtn Road and Liberty Hill Road.
Was going to park at Liberty Hill, but there was a large mass of jeeps and other such off-road vehicles congregating, so opted for a less crowded parking spot at the end of Belknap Mtn Road.
Armed with an overprinted USGS map, where folks have GPSd in old roads and snowmobile trails. Have been on a few parts of the class 6 roads coming off Piper and Whiteface, wasn't sure what I would find elsewhere.
A few rough spots where the old roads have had a lot of runoff washign out much of the gravel - would be tough to get most vehicles through. Some sing of ATVs here and there. Cutting over towwards Liberty Hill, ran into the jeep crowd, pulling out a winch line to yank one of their number out of a good sized mudhole. Kept a pleasant demeanor, versus inital reaction of sub-morons.
Found a few extra trails that seem to be associated with not too distant past logging.
Came back along a trail that pretty much petered out - not sure if I should have been a bit further up the hill, or if the nearby stream had leapt it's banks and washed out a good stretch of the trail. Foundit again a bit further on, but was a more recently cut for snowmobile trail than an old well-established road. Through some more really muddy sections, past the rusting hulk of a pickup truck that had not been successfully recovered out of a mud hole.

HR seems high for the speed I was going. Was short of breath part of the time - allergies constricting airways??
Second long run in a row at just seconds over 90 minutes.
