Hike with Tim & Annie from Bickford Road trailhead up and around Round pond. Some of us in full hangover recovery mode...
"Birding" along the way makes for a much more relaxed pace overall.
Enough breeze that there wasn't much effort devoted to "bugging", a big plus.
Sightings that I remember include: Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Bunting (only seen by Tim), Great Blue Heron, Tree Swallow...
Also the Lady Slippers were out in full force.

Mt Rowe and Gunstock - started slow and kept going. Forgot how "wall-like" a couple of those hills are.
Found the downhill end of the potential hiking trail segment that I scoped out a few weeks back - about 800 m from where the existing trail takes of from near the top of the Tiger lift.
Back feeling OK - some minor aches throughout the day, particularly when I'm sitting too long, but think I'll declare it over...
