Red course at Beaver Brook - Fairly clean run, only a couple of minor(?) bobbles.
Cold, with an inch or so of snow on the ground. Tough convincing myself to duck under some snow covered boughs, which did promptly dump down my back.

Did get thrown off a bit by sections of the fresh logging - my own fault for not focusing more on the terrain.

Note

Went over the map with Neal and crew. A few minor modifications - add a color code under the official snowshoe trail to match the plastic markers they are putting up.
Going with 2 separate pages - one will be Cobble and the trails to the S, as well as the Lanes, Brook Run etc to the base of the ski jumps.

Other will be the Mt Rowe / Ridge area, with an insert / blowup of the race trails on the N side of Cobble.

Around and around at the base of Gunstock.

Picked up my new boots - Atomic World Cup Skate - like them a lot.

Got some new wax through racewax.com this week, put on some moly TX-4, which seemed to work very well.

Was going to call it a day after about 30 minutes, but Nina gives me the "really, only 30 minutes?? you should be doing an hour at least" in that lovely Russian accent. Also, slow down, take it easy. This should be mostly L1 and L2.

Snow was chunky and uneven in many places, got better as it warmed up, but then there were a lot more downhillers & lessons going on in the area, so there was more dodging around folks.

Got myself out the door after work and over to Gunstock.

Had the bottom of the ski slope all to myself - good thing I had my headlamp, cause there was only 1 small light on one end of the groomed section.

Worked better with the correct boot/binding combination. Session allowed me to focus on what aspects I'll need to work on - not to work on them, just to identify where my technique has gone to hell over the summer.
V1 - butt is sticking too far out the back, no arms.
V2 - need a lot of balance work.
