Mid-day outing. Warm and partly sunny, reasonable conditions given the amount of snow (very little). Went up Maple to see how the hills were with the thought so maybe coming back down that way. Upper 2/3s was OK - some gritty spots on the hills, but would have been able to get around them, but the bottom part was pretty crappy. Back along Birch, then reversed Cobble (a few more thin spots), then back to the race trails which are in great shape with the man made snow spread out on them.
Absolutely no energy today, HR higher than expected.
Stopped and rested several times.

Went home and took a nap.

Hiking 1:17:00 [1] 3.48 km (22:08 / km) +362m 14:34 / km
shoes: Salomon Goretex hikers

Goretex hikers with Kahtoola Micro-spikes.
Base of the Carriage up the Red Trial to Piper, then down the Orange and White Trails and the Carriage.
Saw a few folks, no dogs today. Mostly overcast, with some clearing to the west later, so some nice pre-sunset color.
Felt OK, decided to not go up and over Belknap on the way back - both due to time left before sunset (although I had headlamp with me), but also was feeling a bit tired and didn't want to overdo it.

RV Farms evening outing. Not a lot of get up and go, but at least overcame the lethargy to get out and do something.

Intestines churning a bit, with some cramping, so walked a bit.
Lower back also bugging me, possibly to do with the waist pack for headlamp battery - seems like when I have that, or a water bottle belt that my back will act up.
