Base of the Carriage Road, up to Piper, over to Belknap, then Gunstock.
Started heading down the Gunstock Mtn Trail, but it was really icy - looped back to the Belknap-Gunstock saddle, down the Blue trail and the Carriage Road.
Glad I had some extra layers - was fine heading up, but got chilly up top and with less work heading down, glad for some additional warmth.
Arctic Claws were great - brought along my micro-spikes just in case, but they stayed on my pack. Heading down the stairway from heaven on the Blue trail there was a lot of small to moderate sized branches down across the trail. As I was moving some, stepped right into one of the very few spots where the water was still (barely) liquid, just a hair deeper than my shoe - kept moving after that...

Inaugural run for my new Inov-8 Arctic Claws. Temps into the 40s and 50s the last 2 days, so skiing has gone to crap. Feeling antsy, so knew I needed to get out and do something.
Wet and foggy, mix of ice, corn snow, mush and water underfoot. Headlamp was reflecting back off the fog - really neat!
Feet stayed absolutely dry, was expecting them to end up at least damp, if not drenched. Comfortable fit - plenty of room for thicker socks. Nice aggressive studs - did the trick on the icy hill sections.
Back and forth on some of the interior to the loop mtn bike trails - found a new one - hard to follow as the snow pack has condensed so tracks are less obvious and the fog was making it harder to see the next piece of flagging.

Kids ski lessons - some time with the faster group out on the trails having fun and then coaching some parents "how do you go up the hill so fast like that? You're not even breathing hard..."
Enjoyable late afternoon session - not too cold, hardly any wind, hard packed snow with great cover on the trails.
