XC Ski - Classic 1:28:55 intensity: (2:01 @0) + (7:49 @1) + (1:10:05 @2) + (9:00 @3) 12.46 km (7:08 / km) +265m 6:27 / km
ahr:135 max:150 shoes: '17 Atomic Skintec 208

Wet and chilly - mostly wet. Low to mid 30s with light to moderate rain the whole time. Snow was saturated with some puddles in the tracks here and there.
Skintecs were ideal - good kick. Waxed tips and tails with CH8 - would have gone with the CH10 I have around somewhere if I could have found it. Don't have a riller, so I lightly dragged a hacksaw blade sideways down the length of the skis to create some channels/structure - seemed to work as I had very little sense of drag from suction.
Was a couple other folks out there. Had been a fat biker and someone skating earlier in the day - I think classic was the way to go for today.

Felt better, with more energy than yesterday.

Skiing with Ernst. Started with my newer Red Cheetahs, but they felt a bit slow and got slower (especially compared to Ernst) as it warmed up.
Good conditions - a bit soft in places, particularly where the snowshoe race / Fatbike / snowmobile had disturbed it from the nice corduroy.
Too long since my last outing - energy was up and down - struggling on the hills - slow skis not helping.
Took a break while Ernst kept skiing, then swapped to my older Peltonens, which were faster. Called it a day at 90 minutes, Ernst kept going. Unless it's very wet, I'm planning on hitting the trails again tomorrow.

Headlight ramble in Weeks Woods. Started a figure 9, then headed N up into the nether lands. Trails looks different in winter covered with a layer of snow and ice. Had a map with me, but not all the mapped trails had been traversed, so was guessing which intersection I was at several times.
