Feels like I'm making some good progress. 3rd day out there in the past 8 days - Not so warm that everything is wet and soupy, but not bitterly cold and no wind. Ideal mapping conditions - leaves are down, generally white background which helps in judging how dense the vegetation is - saplings don't fade into a brown background. I leave foot prints which helps confirm that, yes, I have been right here before. Wearing micro-spikes, which are great on slopes and the rare icy spot. Also trails pop out - off-trail tends to be more uneven, with sticks, leaves and other stuff sticking out - beaten pathways are more uniform white and slightly depressed.
Deer sign everywhere - leaves kicked up looking for acorns, lots of paths and spots where they've bedded down.
Quite a few fox tracks as well. Not as many turkey tracks where I was today - saw a lot on Thursday in a section closer to the S exposure on the larger hill.

Long day - a lot of side-hilling - rockfaces, a few boulders, more rockfaces. remembered to check vegetation today - some light green with semi-dense beech saplings. Areas under the big hemlocks have no undergrowth - and no snow as It got caught up in the branches.
Filled in the rest of the longer loop trail on the N end - a spur trail over to a nice overlook. What I'd thought was a stone wall from the lidar was a trail - ended up at a 3-sided shelter with a good view. A lot of turkey tracks in that area - must be a very big flock.

Downhill Ski hills 1:40:00 intensity: (50:00 @0) + (50:00 @1) 28.94 km (17.4 kph) +2503m

2.5 km climb - all on the chair lift.
Pretty good conditions - not at all crowded. A couple of trails they opened today could have used a few more passes with the Pisten Bully first - kinda chunky and spooky for some newbies I saw.

Run 53:02 intensity: (4:08 @0) + (7:42 @1) + (24:21 @2) + (16:51 @3) 4.78 km (11:05 / km) +232m 8:56 / km
