Orienteering 1:36:36 [3] 8.37 km (11:32 / km) +340m 9:36 / km
ahr:155 max:183 rhr:62 shoes: Innov8 o-roc 280

This was the real aim. I always want to do best in the Long distance. It's the one I "enjoy" the most and just suits me better. usually I blow up in the last part of the course so the aim was to have a clean race and not make too many mistakes.

I did this for the most part though I would say some route choices were not good which is usually not my problem; notably no8 where I went the wrong way around the lake.
In general I took routes that I felt would help me get the controls safely.

Mistakes on 5,6, 8 and 14.
5 was around 1:30 i think, 6 was around 40s-1:00. 8 was around 2 minutes and 14 was approx 30 seconds I think. Granted an extra 5 minutes wouldn't have helped with placing bout I would have been happier with my run.

I am still quite happy overall that there were no blow ups and I just paced my way around the course. I would prefer if that pace was a bit faster however.

Running warm up/down 6:05 [1] 0.9 km (6:46 / km) +11m 6:22 / km

I am missing some of this as I didn't start my watch, however probably why I felt pretty bad physically during this race.

Orienteering race 53:40 [4] 4.9 km (10:57 / km) +140m 9:35 / km
ahr:138 max:169 shoes: Innov8 o-roc 280

Again planning was way too easy and as the body was really not up for the hills and marshes I didn't do particularly well. made a mistake on 2 because I was being silly and on 13(?) because I was tired and because I was expecting a hill and not a gully (gullies were marked like index contours?). 30sec behind Olivia and 3 minutes off Ruth.

Given the HR i think the warm up and the fact that the first control was uphill was a lot of the problem. just flushed the legs with lactic and never got it back. max HR was at the second control <.<

Warm up with Olivia. So good to see everyone!

Orienteering 15:08 [4] 2.8 km (5:24 / km) +19m 5:14 / km

IOC sprint. What can I say. No real mistakes as the course was hella easy. Ran at around 80pc I'd say. Lovely day for it. Didn't see anyone on my course.

Excited for IOC this week. I have probably forgotten how to run in Irish terrrain and the fitness is pretty low so, while it is still a target race that I want to perform well in, this will not be based off results. I also just want to have fun and see everyone.

Hurt My foot during 10mila which I didn't notice until after the race. It's gotten better since yesterday but will be conservative for the next couple of days.

Mon- Rest
Tues- 30 mins on turbo maybe.
Weds- depends on the foot but would be nice to go for like 5k with like a fast km in the middle because I have forgotten what running fast is like.
Thurs- flying to Ireland
Fri- IOC Sprint
Sat- IOC Middle
Sun- IOC Long
Mon- IOC Relay
