Biking 57:00 [1] 11.2 mi (5:05 / mi)

Two loops of the Allegany River Trail - straight up.

Swimming 33:56 [2] 1.0 mi (33:56 / mi)

Felt much better than I had in a long time; pool was quite a bit cooler than on Tuesday, too.

Watercize 53:00 [1]

Biking 1:13:00 [1] 11.2 mi (6:31 / mi)

Two loops of the Allegany River Trail - straight up.

Handball 45:00 [3]

Cutthroat with the "new" (young) guy and a veteran. Was getting pummeled (9-5) by the new guy when the vet showed up and we restarted. I learned something about strategy against the new guy and won the first two games. Exhausted, I lost the third and was losing the fourth when I ran off nine serves in a row before losing the game in the end. Playing against good players twenty-five years younger than you is tough.

Aquatic math:

Warm pool plus 45 hours post-Highlander = slow time.

Hudson Highlander

One of my better highlanders; virtually no cramping problems and I was able to keep up with some folks who usually dust me. Couldn't run so much near the end, but made up for it by avoiding big goofs. Got dropped by my pack with four controls to go, but latched on to someone for two and then got dusted again. Felt really weird to do the end of the race all alone... Spiked more than usual due to more than usual pack running (early) and careful nav (aka walking) later in the course.

No real injuries; right quad feels a bit odd and there is some chafing on my right Achilles.
