Ontario Provincial Championships - Sprint

Big error right out of the start; I tried to go east through the field (light green). Ended up retreating and coming back through the start triangle over 90 seconds in. Winsplits says I made no errors, but I don't see how I can't count at least 90 seconds here. After that debacle on the way to #1, I had small bobbles at #2, #7, and #10. Surprisingly, I had the superman leg heading to #12 (go control)! 6th out of 11. Can't afford any mistakes on a sprint!

Ontario Provincial Championships - Middle course

Map was very dense and tough to read even though it was 1:10,000. Had small issues on the way to #2, particularly near the power lines, but the real goof was at #3 where I got on the wrong trail and was totally confused near the control. This was an eight-minute error; my per-km time dropped to over an hour per km. After that I straightened out for a while and was running with Gary Maslanka through the middle. We took different routes to #10 and ultimately #12 which I blew again - aggravated by not noticing that the control was at the base of the escarpment... Winsplits puts this error over 3 minutes, but it felt worse. Thought the next leg was bad, too, but apparently not. Overall, 9th out of 12 which feels about right..
