Cardio (Bike (Video)) 2:19 [5] 1.0 mi (2:19 / mi)

Expresso Speedway course.

IThe "season best" time was ten seconds off my PR so it was going to be a challenge to take the lead. I went all out and at the half-way point was six seconds ahead of pace for that, but zero seconds ahead of my ghost. I needed to keep pushing hard, but no matter what I did, I couldn't open up any distance on my ghost. In the end, I was still zero seconds ahead, but only got credit for 'best time this season. Top 2% overall (missed top 1% by two seconds; top ten (actually 10th) age group, out of 1115. Still second the all-time record at the Y (out of eighty-nine), by four seconds. P:386; C:65.

On the other hand, this completes my Fairy Pig-tails challenge (ride every course), in 198th (and presumably dropping) place. Top 5% right now...

Orienteering 5:00 [1]

While driving the the Buffalo airport, I stopped to pick up my last Knox Farm map hike control. Was able to drive almost to it, but couldn't find it and had to go around to the other side. Did find it, but I swear that I had literally wrapped my hand around that tree (to duck under other brush) and would have seen it a few weeks ago. No tracks; and the time is actually two different "runs" put together...

Cardio (Bike (Video)) 2:30 [5] 1.0 mi (2:30 / mi)

Rolling Thunder course.

Wanted to beat my ghost, so each time he showed his head, I put on a burst. Didn't see him in the second half until the finish was in sight. I swear I put him behind me, but I didn't even tie my PR, losing by one second... Top 2% overall (missed top 1% by that same second!); top ten (actually tenth) age group out of 817. Still first all-time at the Y (out of sixty-seven), by sixteen seconds. P:358; C:62.

Cardio (Bike (Video)) 3:42 [5] 1.5 mi (2:28 / mi)

Redwood Dash course.

My ghost showed his head twice in the first half mile and I put on a burst each time. I opened up one second on him at about the half-way mark and kept it the rest of the way, earning a "Sergie Bubka" PR. Top 1% overall; top ten (actually 9th) age group out of 768. Still first all-time (out of seventy) at the Y, now by sixteen seconds. P:328; C:61.

Cardio warm up/down (Bike (Video)) 10:00 [1]

Took the full ten minutes, but this time, I "plateaued" at a heart rate of about 102, so much more plausible. (Also matched by the watch which I examined this time...)

Cardio (Bike (Video)) 4:48 [3]

Titan Time course.

Only previous ride had been soon after my surgery last year, so a PR was in the works. It was a case of steadily pulling away from my ghost for a 25 second (8%) victory. Top 3% overall; top 5% age group. Now, first all-time at the Y (out of twenty-three) by twenty-three seconds. P:292; C: 57.

Cardio warm up/down (Bike (Video)) 10:00 [1]

Heart rate dropped to 112 about as expected, then shot up to 136 and stayed there despite my feeling that the former reading was correct. I suspect the sensors were off, but I forgot to check my watch in time to really know.
