Trek Rockhopper on Gitchi Gami state trail from Gooseberry Falls SP trail parking to Beaver Bay then up the hill to Lax Lake Road trail head where rejoined Bill P and all our gear for the start of the 3 day back pack trip. Locked up the bike in the woods near the trailhead.

Started out with 39 lb packs from Lax lakes trailhead at top of hill above Beaver Bay. Nice views to the N from the ridge. Camped at Beaver Pond camp site 5.4 miles in.
